[Technical Service Team] Second Visit to Thailand

The Technical Service Team of the APO’s Center of Excellence on Smart Manufacturing made its final stop of the year (2019) in Bangkok, Thailand from November 10th to 14th in the hope of multiplying the effect of the previous visit in August and deepening the opportunity of cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand.

This time, the team discussed in detail with the Thailand Productivity Institute (FTPI) the smart manufacturing seed training program. At the same time, we cooperated with Thailand’s Department of Industry Promotion (DIP) and Thai-German Institute (TGI) to conduct seminars for more in-depth technical exchanges. The team also arranged consultants to diagnose Micromatics and Sabina factories and provide recommendations on smart manufacturing transformation. Other than developing a better understanding of Thai’s progress toward Industry 4.0, the visit also promoted potential business opportunities between the two countries.
