ROC- India Industrial Technology Exchange: Training on Trainers of smart manufacturing

From August 5 to 8, 2025, The China Productivity Center (CPC) Central Regional Office hosted a 22-member delegation from Indian auto parts manufacturers and the National Productivity Council of India. The visit focused on smart manufacturing, IoT data collection, and practical digital transformation applications, helping Indian supply chain companies understand key technologies for improving production efficiency and quality management.

During the two-day training program, participants learned through hands-on activities and case discussions how to collect and analyze production data, as well as evaluate strategies for implementing smart factory solutions. Each company completed a preliminary implementation plan and expressed strong interest in continuing technical cooperation with Taiwan.

The delegation also visited leading enterprises and research institutions, including Shuter Enterprise and the Smart Machinery & Smart Manufacturing Center at National Formosa University.
At Shuter, participants observed smart logistics and machine vision applications that help address warehouse management and traceability challenges. National Formosa University presented innovations such as tool collision warning systems, intelligent calibration solutions, and IIoT applications.

In addition, the group toured the COESM “Smart and Low-Carbon Sustainable Growth Hub” located at CPC, where both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on smart manufacturing and sustainable operations. The delegation also shared its upcoming development plans and potential project ideas, helping strengthen future collaboration.

The visit received strong recognition from the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). ACMA formally invited CPC to speak at its 2026 Annual General Meeting to showcase Taiwan’s smart manufacturing practices—marking an important step forward in Taiwan–India cooperation on smart transformation in the automotive industry.
